Wear The Resistance | Elevate Your Senses: Fiber Identification Workshop and Lecture
As the second installment of the Wear The Resistance series, Elevate Your Senses: Fiber Identification Workshop—hosted by Haus and Recovering Hipster Goods — invites attendees to dive deeper into the materials that make up our wardrobes. Led by professors Christian Lazzerine and Karin Soderholm from Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, this interactive session begins with a short lecture on sustainable fibers, followed by a hands-on workshop featuring fiber sight-and-touch tests, label decoding, and a fiber burn test in a ventilated space. The event wraps with a fiber scavenger hunt at Recovering Hipster Goods, where participants will identify fibers in real time while shopping sustainably.

“Wear The Resistance: Mindful Consumption” Workshop
Haus and Recovering Hipster Goods present a summer lecture series, Wear the Resistance: Mindful Consumption. This is a three-part series happening throughout the summer, and the first one is on Friday, June 20th, from 6 pm to 9 pm. This series is a call to rebel against waste. We're diving into the sustainability revolution—keeping goods out of landfills and giving them a second (or third) life. We are bringing in sustainability, fashion, reselling, and design experts to break down how to spot quality, extend the life cycle of materials, and rethink what we consume. And also to further build a community of like-minded people and resellers. Rocky Mountain Institute of Art and Design, Stanley Marketplace, and Topo Chico are sponsoring the event.
The first event is a two-part lecture and workshop about upcycling by Michael Sullivan of Haus. Please register to attend.
"Wear The Resistance: A Radical Lifestyle"
Lecture about upcycling.
Friday, June 20, 2025, from 6 pm to 9 pm
Workshop to teach mending techniques to help preserve your clothing for years.
Saturday, June 21, 2025, 3:00 to 5:00 pm
